    Stop Giving A F*ck

    The Recovering Pessimist | Stop Giving A F*ck | www.therecoveringpessimist.me | #amwriting #recoveringpessimist #optimisticpessimistThe moment I stopped giving a f*ck was a relief.

I could fill my lungs to capacity with air with no interruptions.

I made decisions with concern for other’s feelings/thoughts.

I was able to let go of the limitations I imposed on myself.

I didn’t have to make compromises on how I chose to live my life out of worry.

Time is one of the things that isn’t promised.

At any moment we’re here…and then we aren’t.

Why spend that time living according to the agenda of others?

That drum that you always hear?

    Don’t just listen to it.

Move to the beat of it.

And while you’re at it, stop giving a f*ck.

I promise you, it feels damn good.

    It. Is. Time.

The Recovering Pessimist: It. Is. Time. -- There's no "perfect" time to begin something. Start now. | www.therecoveringpessimist.me #amwriting #recoveringpessimist #optimisticpessimistOne of my ongoing goals for my life is to escape the cubicle farm. For the past two years, I’ve wanted to turn my hobbies into a career.  I have so many notes on ideas and resources that can help me meet this goal.

Ideas and resources are great, but I needed more than that to make my goal of self-employment happen. I refused to spend another year planning for something, yet getting no closer to my goals.

There’s only so much information you can collect. There’s only so much planning you can do before you just have to stop doing and just do. I stopped compiling ideas and resources. I stopped worrying about the “what ifs” and I got started.

I won’t lie, starting is the hardest step, but it’s necessary. You can’t do what makes you happy if you’re always planning. At some point, you have to make a move. Don’t worry about making mistakes. Mistakes are a part of life. It’s okay if you don’t know everything in the beginning. Nobody does. You learn as you go.

[bctt tweet=”There’s never a right time to start. Begin where you are with what you have. “]
